Behind the Scenes

So here are a few photos of work in progress. Life behind the scenes is often very hectic and not very glamorous. Painting at home is very relaxing!

Bristol Old Vic ‘Little Mermaid Set’ (2013) – This was a beautiful thing to paint. I also helped in the making of this life sized clam shell. What a lovely job it was.

Tilly was my first proper painted pet portrait I have done in my life. It was such an enjoyable painting to do. I highly advise trying to paint an animal. They are much easier than people but still have the lovely characters to capture. I have never met Tilly but I would like to now I have painted her!

Budleigh Pebbles being painted. The beginning of a long slow process. This felt a bit like meditation to me! Hard to stick at but rewarding once done!!

Ashton court Purple is the original painting colourway. This is a progress shot before I softened a lot of it with a gentle spray with my airbrush.
